Midsummer Gorsedd gathering tickets available now!
ALL TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD
The Midsummer Gorsedd will take place on our usual Midsummer’s Day – 24th June – at dawn. Gather at 4:00am for 4:30am. Entry strictly by ticket only which must be obtained in advance. Tickets are available from 21st March by post or online – details below.
Date: Thursday, 24 June 2010
Time: 04:30 – 07:00
We will gather at the Stonehenge car park at 4pm, with access into the stones from 4:30am-6:30am. As the Gorsedd works on a Special Access pass, the Cor Gawr rituals are ticketed events, with a number limit of 100 people. The tickets are often sold out early, so do book as soon as possible. There is a maximum of 6 tickets per application. It is suggested that those with tickets gather from 4am in Stonehenge car park. Please bring your tickets with you as you will need the pass to enter the car park. The car park must be cleared by 7am.
We keep the ticket prices as small as possible in order to allow all who wish to attend the opportunity; whilst we would love to make the event completely free, as we have exclusive access to the stones outside of normal opening hours we do make a contribution to English Heritage in recognition of the costs they incur to allow us entry at these times.
If you wish to book multiple tickets, please include the names of everyone you have booked tickets for in your request. Please note that tickets must be paid for in advance, and cannot under any circumstances be picked up at the site. They must be brought with you to the Gorsedd as they contain a pass for the car park without which you will not be admitted.
